Eligibility Criteria
Education Qualification
- Except for the vacancy of Store Keeper, all the posts require a minimum of matriculation pass or equivalent from a recognized board.
- Store Keeper needs a minimum of 12th pass from a recognised Board/University.
- All other qualification in their relevant specialization, work experience if any and other desirable eligibility criteria are outlined in detail here.

How to Apply
- Candidates must fill the prescribed Proforma in Annexure-I in the original advertisement here.
- The filled applications must be submitted to the respective Indian Coast Guard post units of their region as mentioned here.
- It must be submitted by ordinary post and the envelope must be superscripted as ‘Application for the post of _________’
- Self-attested copies of all documents mentioned below must be enclosed with the form.
Selection Procedure
- Written Exam will be conducted for Group ‘C’ and upgraded Group ‘C’ posts.
- Candidates will be selected based on merit in the written exam and those qualified will be shortlisted for the trade test.
- Skills/Trade test will be carried out to check the performance/aptitude of an applicant for the relevant trade. However, it will only be qualifying in nature.

- Work experience certificate (if applicable)
- Category certificate (if applicable)
- NOC certificate (for Govt/PSU employees)
Important points
- Selected candidates will have to serve in any part of India
- All posts are temporary but can be made permanent with a probation period of two years under the Ministry of Defence.
- No TA will be paid nor any payment for damages during physical test injuries will be made.
- Incomplete, fraudulent applications and canvassing will lead to immediate termination of candidature.
