How to Open Upstox account Online

Opening a Demat Account with Upstox is very easy. Please keep your PAN card, Aadhar card, bank details and nominee details handy. While registering please use the mobile number linked with the Aadhar card.

1. Click Upstox link.
2. In the sign up page enter your mobile number linked with Aadhar card and click “Sign up with mobile number” button.
3. A OTP will be sent to your mobile number. Enter the OTP and click “Continue” button.
4. In the next screen enter a new 6-digit PIN and click “Continue” button. Confirm the 6 digit PIN and and click “Continue” button.
5. In the Email verification screen enter your Email ID and click “Update” button.
6. A OTP will be sent to your email address for verification. Check your email and enter the OTP sent by UPSTOX and click “Continue”.
7. In the PAN details screen. Enter your Valid PAN card number and Date of Birth and click “Next” button.
8. In the Personal details screen enter your pesonal details and follow the steps.
9. Once confirmed you will see the “Digital Signature” screen. Please sign within the white box window. Please note the Digital signature must match the one on your PAN Card or Bank account. Click “Continue”.
10. On the next screen it will request camera access to complete the application. Allow upstox to use your camera and click “Capture” button.
11. Camera will be active and make sure the face is clearly visible and click “Capture” button. If the captured image is not looking good you can always retake photo.
12. Next enter your Bank details. Enter your Bank “Account holder name”, IFSC code, Bank Account number, Account type (Savings/ Current). Please confirm all the details before you click “Continue” button.
13. In the Brokerage Plan select your desired Brokerage plan and click “YES” in the “Do you have your Mobile number linked with your Aadhar ” option. If you want to trade in Future and options and commodities then select that option. This will ask your BANK statement to be submit. Choose as per your requirement.
14. In the Segment screen. If you want to trade in future & Options, Currency and Commodity then select “Yes, activate these segments” or else select “No, I will do it later”. Click “Continue” button.
15. In the Nominee screen add your nominee details.
16. In the e-Sign application screen click “e-sign with Aadhar OTP” and complete your KYC.
17. When done, you have successfully completed your sign up and download the Application Document.

Please note, you have just completed the online process and the account activation will take 3-4 working days. You will receive your Upstox Login details to your email ID when approved.
