Naval Ship Repair/Aircraft Yard 2021 Apprenticeship Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates scoring marks above 50% in their 10th or matriculation examinations and above 65% in relevant ITI trade approved by the State/National Council for Vocational Training (SCVT/NCVT).
Age Limit
- Candidates should be between 14 and 21 years of age as of 1st April 2022 i.e. born between 1st April 2001 and 31st March 2008 (inclusive of both dates).
- Age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST applicants. It can be relaxed by further 5 years by Naval Headquarter under special consideration.

How to Apply
- Go to www.apprenticeship.gov.in and register online.
- After online registration send the ‘Apprentice Profile’ and below mentioned documents to “The Officer-in-Charge, Dockyard Apprentice School, Naval Ship Repair Yard, Naval Base, Karwar, Karnataka-581308″ via speed or registered post.
- Profile must be sent within 30 days of advertisement publication in Employment News.
Documents required to submit
- Attested copy of 10th/Matriculation mark sheets.
- Attested copy of ITI mark sheets (All semesters).
- Attested copy of category certificate(for EWS/OBC/ST/SC candidates)
- Attested copy of disability certificate(for PwBD candidates)
- Certificate from competent authority for children of armed forces personnel/ naval defence civilian employee.
- Certificate of undertaking informing the choice of establishment for apprenticeship training i.e. either in Karwar or Dabolim, Goa need to be clearly specified. Format of the certificate can be found here.
Selection Procedure
- Based on the marks obtained in matriculation and ITI, applicants will be called for written test and interview.
- The test/interview will be conducted around Jan/Feb 2022 and call letter for the same will be sent to eligible candidates on their registered email.

Important Points
- After selection, joining dates will most likely be on 1st April 2022.
- Travelling expenses and boarding/lodging will not be provided during selection process.
- Hostel facility is available for male candidates at Karwar at first come first server basis and unavailable at Goa.
- There will be no obligation to provide employment after completion of training as per the Apprenticeship Act 1961.
